8. Praying in tongues refreshes:

"For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak
to this people. To whom he said, This the rest wherewith
ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing:
yet they would not hear" (Isaiah 28:11,12 KJV).

9. Praying in tongues allows you to speak to God
mysteries:

"For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto
men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in
the spirit he speaketh mysteries" (1 Corinthians 14:2 KJV).

10. Praying in tongues allows you to speak of the
wonderful works of God in a foreign language others understand:

"Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the
wonderful works of God" (Acts 2:11 KJV).

11. Praying in tongues quites your soul and allows God
to have control over your tongue:

"But the tongue can no man tame; it is unruly evil, full of
deadly poison" (James 3:8 KJV).

12. Praying in tongues build up your faith:

"But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy
faith, praying in the Holy Ghost" (Jude 20 KJV).

13. Praying in tongues "quickens", gives life to your
mortal body:

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell
in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken
your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you" (Romans 8:11 KJV).

14. Praying in tongues mortifies the deeds of the flesh:

"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the
Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live" (Romans 8:13 KJV).

Who Can Receive the Promise of the Holy Spirit
Baptism with the Evidence of Speaking in Tongues?

If you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior then
the promise is for you.

"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all
that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call"
(Acts 2:39 KJV).

How Do You Receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?

First of all, know that when you received Jesus Christ as
Lord and Savior you received the Holy Spirit. You can't
be saved without having the indwelling Holy Spirit:

"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that
the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the
Spirit of Christ, he is none of his" (Romans 8:9 KJV).

So, if you are a Christian then you know now you have
the indwelling Holy Spirit. Now you are ready to learn how
to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit which will elevate
your spiritual walk to a new and higher level that greatly
pleases God.

God is a God of faith. "It is impossible to please Him" without faith
according Hebrews 11:6. You receive salvation by faith, your healing
by faith, your divine protection by faith, your divine guidance by
faith and everything else by faith including being filled with the
Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Two Ways of Receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
with the Evidence of Speaking in Tongues:

1. You can receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit by having
other spirit filled Christians of good character lay hands on you
in faith, believing God will baptize you in the Holy Spirit with
the evidence of speaking in tongues. Remember, you along with
them must release your faith that God heard from heaven and
answered the prayer of faith.

2. It is not necessary to have someone lay hands on you
to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of
speaking in tongues. You can by faith receive this gift by
yourself. You simply ask in faith God the Father in Jesus' name
to baptize you with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of
speaking in tongues.

Mark 11:24 says when you pray, believe you receive your
prayer answered the moment you pray, not to believe that
someday God will answer your prayer. No, you must believe
the instant you pray that God heard your prayer and you
now have the assurance that what you asked God for now
belongs to you.

Doubt says maybe God heard me. Faith says He heard me, He
answered my pray and I have what I asked for now, not maybe
He heard my prayer or perhaps sometime in the future I will
receive my prayer answered.

So, what do you do after you have asked in faith your Heavenly
Father in Jesus' name to baptize you with the Holy Spirit
with the evidence of speaking in tongues? Simply begin
thanking God you believe you have received what you asked
Him for, the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence
of speaking in tongues. Then begin to praise Him for being so
faithful to answer your prayer. Then begin to worship Him,
telling Him how much you love Him and appreciate Him. Then
open your mouth and speak words of worship but not in your
native language, English, Spanish or whatever language you
normally use.

Your head might argue with you and tell you that all you
are speaking is a bunch nonsense. But what you are really
doing is acting by faith that you believe God heard and
answered your prayer of faith.

God will honor your faith and you will speak immediately or
eventually in your heavenly language. If you need some
more instruction or encouragement in this area then please

Want Mountain Moving Faith?

The Lord gave the following words to a Christian to speak out loud. The Lord encouraged the Christian to declare these words often until they became a reality in his heart. And of course the more time you spend declaring these powerful words, the quicker the results.

"There is no lack of faith with me. If I were to come to the end of my faith, then the Father gives me the very faith of Christ and it is impossible for me not to believe."
